Explore the Future of Autonomous Vehicles: Hosted by the University of Delaware’s Connected and Autonomous Research (CAR) Lab, this five-day, hands-on summer program offers high school students an exciting introduction to autonomous vehicle technology. Participants will:
Build and program autonomous robots using ROS, Python, and C++
Learn the fundamentals of vehicle control, sensor technologies, and path planning
Gain practical experience in autonomous driving by detecting Stop, construction Zone.
Collaborate on real-world projects in small teams
Present their work in a final student showcase for families and faculty
Participants also receive a University of Delaware certificate and a personalized reference letter, making this an excellent stepping stone for future studies in robotics, AI, and engineering.
